You should set up your browser for the following capabilities.
- Allowing pop-ups:
Pop-up blockers prevent pages from loading in the browser.
- Select Settings in the Chrome menu.
- Click Advanced at the bottom of the Settings page.
- Click Content settings in the Privacy and security section.
- Click Popups.
- Click Add in the Allow section.
- In Site, type or paste your OPERA Cloud URL.
- Click Add.
- Enabling report printing:
You must install the Adobe plug-in and set it as the default PDF viewer.
- Open the Chrome menu.
- Open the More tools submenu.
- Select Extensions in the More tools submenu.
- Enable the Adobe Acrobat extension using the on/off switch.
- Restart Google Chrome.
- Update Target:
If the same computer is used for both OPERA Cloud and OPERA Property Management Services, update the target for Google Chrome.
- From the shortcut on your desktop or the Start button, right-click Google Chrome and select Properties.
- On the Properties screen, type –allow-outdated-plugins after chrome.exe in the Target field. Leave a space between chrome.exe and –allow-outdated-plugins.
- Click OK.
- Clearing cache:
Browsers store elements of web pages to speed up the loading of the web page during your next visit. On occasion, you might need to empty your browser cache to enable OPERA Cloud upgrades.
- From the Chrome menu, select Settings.
- Click Advanced at the bottom of the page.
- Click Clear browsing data in the Privacy and security section.
- Deselect Cookies and other site data.
- Click Clear Data.
- Making OPERA Cloud your home page and start page:
Google Chrome lets you create a home page and a start page. The home page appears in the browser when you select the home button on the toolbar. The start page is the page that appears when you open Chrome.
- From the Chrome menu, click Settings.
- Enable Show home button in the Appearance section.
- Click the Enter custom web address option button.
- In Enter custom web address, type or paste your OPERA Cloud URL into the field.
- Locate the On startup section on the Settings page.
- Select the Open a specific page or set of pages option button. If you are on the OPERA Cloud login page when making it your startup page, you can click Use current pages to enter the URL.
- If necessary, remove the current pages using the Remove option in the menu.
- Click Add a new page.
- In the Site URL field, type or paste your OPERA Cloud URL.
- Click Add.
- Adding bookmarks:
Bookmarks are saved links to web pages.
- Click the star in the URL address field.
- Enter a name for the bookmarked page, if necessary.
- Select a Folder to store the bookmark.
- Click Done.
