Scheduling a Checkout

In OPERA Controls under the Cashiering group, the Scheduled Check Out parameter must be On and the guest folio balance must be zero before you can schedule a checkout.
Once you settle the folio on the reservation, you have the following options: Check Out or Schedule a Check Out. With Schedule a Check Out, you can set the time when you want to check out the reservation.
  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and select Manage Reservation.
  2. Enter the name of the reservation for which you want to schedule a checkout and click Search or select the predefined search type for Departures.
  3. Click I Want To.. and select Check Out. If the folio has been settled, you have the option to schedule checkout for the reservation. Click Schedule Check Out.
    If the folio has not been settled and a balance exists, you cannot schedule checkout for the reservation.
  4. Schedule the time for the checkout by entering the checkout date and time.
    The Schedule Check Out option is only available for Departure reservations. A scheduled checkout does not complete if a charge is posted to the reservation and the charge is not settled.
