Promotion Price Change

RPM publishes approved promotions, including the promotion details. Simple promotions are published with the promotional retail and change type so they can be applied to the current regular price or clearance based on the promotion settings. Complex promotions are published with their details, as a specific promotional retail cannot be calculated. This event will be communicated with the “prmprcchgcre” message type. When the promotional retail price of approved promotions is changed as a result of other approved price events, RPM will communicate this using the “prmprcchgmod” message type. When an approved promotion is unapproved, RPM will send a message with the message type of “prmprcchgdel”.

SIM subscribes to these promotion messages. In some cases SIM already has this information. In that case SIM will override the existing promotion records. Only one promotion can be in effect at one time in SIM.
