ooc TargetedItems Web Service

Functional Description
This service relies on Oracle Commerce's framework for defining targeters and cross-sell/up-sell information. External systems can call this service. Based upon the input containing the current customer, the customer's current location (such as a retail store), and their current in-store purchase, RXM will call calculate what additional items are targeted to the customers online profile.

Description |
A service operation for querying targeted items. Results includes items the merchant is targeting specifically to the shopper due to their online profile or current location as well as general cross- sell and up-sell items that are related to input items. Input criteria will identify the shopper, his or her location, and the contents of their current basket. The input can be used within merchant-defined rules for queried results. Results will also include general cross-sell and up-sell items. It is possible an empty TgtItemColDesc is returned depending on input and rules. This functionality is slightly different from "recommended items", which would be more dynamically determined based upon a recommendation engine. For entity defining related items for single specific items, see ItemDesc#RelatedItemDesc. |
