Creating the Empirica Signal deployment on the WebLogic server
- In an Internet browser, navigate to the Oracle WebLogic Server Administration Console, for example:
https://<servername>:7002/console
- Log in using the administrator credentials provided to you by the system administrator.
- In the Domain Structure pane, click Deployments.
- In the Change Center pane, click Lock & Edit.
- If you are upgrading from Signal 8.0 and you have decided to not use WebLogic 12.1.3 with Java 1.8, perform the following steps:
- In the Deployments table, select Signal.
- In the Deployments table on the right, click Stop, and then Force stop now.
- In the Deployments table, select Signal.
- In the Deployments table on the right, click Delete.
- On the left panel, click Activate Changes.
- In the Change Center section on the left, click Lock & Edit.
- In the Deployments table, click Install.
The Install Application Assistant wizard appears.
- In the Locate deployment to install and prepare for deployment page:
- In the Path field, type the path to the <INSTALL_DIR>.
- Click Next.
- Select Signal.
- Click Next.
- In the Choose targeting style page:
- Select Install this deployment as an application.
- Click Next.
- In the Select deployment targets page:
- Select SignalServer.
- Click Next.
- In the Optional Settings page, in the Source Accessibility section:
- Select Copy this application onto every target for me.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
After a few moments, the Signal deployment is created.
- In the Domain Structure pane, click Deployments.
Signal appears in the Deployments table.
- In the Change Center pane, click Activate Change.
The deployment State changes to Prepared.
- In the Deployments table, select the Signal deployment.
- Expand the Start drop-down list, and select Servicing all requests.
- If prompted to confirm, click Yes.
The deployment State changes to Active.
