Using Fluid User Interface for Creating Requisitions

This section discusses about viewing requisition item details, creating requisitions, searching requisition items, and submitting requisition items for approval using the fluid user interface.

Use the Requisition landing page to search, view and add requisition items to the cart. A configurable navigation left panel is available that contains the following menu items:

  • My Orders: Displays all the requisitions that you have ordered.

  • Browse Catalogs: Allows you to browse through the Catalog information.

  • Recently Ordered Items: Displays a list of recently ordered items. The number of items displayed depends on the configuration on the eProcurement Installation Options page.

  • Favorites: Displays the list of items marked as favorite

  • Special Requests: Allows you to create any special requests if required. Special requests are usually to create a requisition for an item that is not included in the standard catalog of items in PeopleSoft eProcurement and has no item ID.

  • Web Suppliers: Displays web suppliers only if the web suppliers are configured and the user has access to them. Additionally, if the user has hidden the navigation for web suppliers in the PeopleSoft Classic User Interface then it will not be visible in the Fluid User Interface as well.

If an item in the list is not available to add to the cart then an information icon appears instead of the Add button below that particular item and item detail cannot be viewed. The categories displayed on the Requisition page are visible or hidden based on the settings on My Preferences page.

Search Results Page

There are three different Search Results pages (PV_MOB_855_SRCH, PV_MOB_855_SRCHDC, and PV_MOB_855_SRCHFAV). The main page (PV_MOB_855_SRCH) can be configured through the My Preferences page. Search results are grouped based on Catalog items, Favorites, and Web Suppliers, and displayed on different pages. The Catalog items search includes searching through internal catalog items and external items from a marketplace. If the marketplace supports it, both internal and external catalog items will appear on the same page based on the marketplace setup.

A page indicator displayed at the bottom of the Search Results page indicates the search results belonging to different item categories. Select the page indicator to view other search results.

Use My Orders page (PV_MOB_855_ORDR_FL) to view a list of requisitions that you have ordered. The number of requisitions shown on this page depends on the configuration done on the eProcurement Installation Options page. The default value is 50. However, it is recommended to keep this value low as large number of items may take longer to display due to fluid user interface memory issues. Select any row on this page to navigate to the Summary page (PV_MOB_ORDR_SCF) where all the requisition lines corresponding to the particular requisition is displayed.

For Service Procurement lines only limited information is displayed on this page. Select Requisition Lifeline link to open the Requisition Lifeline page (PV_MOB_ORDLIFE_SCF) that is display only.

Cancel Requisition button

Click to cancel the entire requisition.

Cancel Line button

Click to cancel the specific requisition line.

Click on the Requisition Lifeline link to view the Requisition Lifeline Page.

Use the Browse Catalogs page (PV_MOB_CATBROWSE) to browse through Catalog information.

When a category is selected, the Filter icon will turn green indicating that you have selected a category.

Use the Item Details page (PV_MOB_855_ITEMDET) to view item details. Select any item on the Requisition page to view the particular Item details page. You can add an item to the shopping cart or to Favorites from this page.

Note: On the eProcurement Installation Options page if the Multi Image check box is selected then multiple images for each item can be added and will be available for viewing on the Item Description page.

Web suppliers option appears only if the web suppliers are configured and the user has the privileges to view them.

Use the Shopping Cart page (PV_MOB_855_SR_CART) to view cart details. On this page you can edit the item quantity, Requestor name and the currency. You can also delete items. UOM can be edited only if Allow Editing of UOM check box is selected on the Mobile Installation Settings page that is accessible from the eProcurement Installation Options page in the Classic User Interface. There is also option to checkout the cart items from this page.

You can also select the Cart icon that appears on other pages such as Item Details to access this page.

Requisition Name

Select to enter a description of the request to help you identify this requisition as it flows through the system. If this field is left blank, the system uses the requisition ID as the name.

Requestor

Enter the name of the person requesting the items.

Currency

Displays the currency that is selected for the business unit

Delete icon

Select to delete an item. On selecting the icon the Delete button will appear.

Delete

Select to delete the item permanently.

Checkout button

Select to navigate to the Checkout page.

Close

Select to return to the previous page.

Use the checkout page (PV_MOB_855_CHEKOUT) to review and submit the requisition items for approval. The requisitions items in the shopping cart are displayed on this page.

Requisition Name

Select to enter a description of the request to help you identify this requisition as it flows through the system. If this field is left blank, the system uses the requisition ID as the name.

Ship To

Select to change the ship to location. You can modify the location and update the Attention To field.

Note: Based on the setting of role actions SCHEDULE_DISPLAY, ACCOUNTING_DISPLAY and ENFORCE_RGN_SECURITY the Ship To section will be visible and the Ship To page can be edited.

Justification Comments

Select to enter comments.

Submit

Select to submit the requisition for approval. Click the Submit button on Checkout page to view the Save Confirmation page (PV_MOB_CONF). The Save Confirmation page displays the finalized requisition details that was submitted for approval.

Done

Select to return to the Checkout page from the Ship To page.

Save

Select to save the requisition and submit it later.

Accounting button

Select to navigate to the Distribution page. Use this page to view and override the accounting information.

Note: ChartField Display Templates are used to extend ChartField configuration to control the display of individual ChartFields on PeopleSoft Fluid components. It displays ChartFields in a consistent manner on PeopleSoft Fluid transaction pages across PeopleSoft products. For eProcurement mobile requisition the default ChartField display template ALLCFS is used for all users, a permission list, or user ID. Use the Assign CF Display Templates Pageto assign template to the mobile requisition component.

Accounting Tag

Click the Accounting tag link on the Distribution page to open the Accounting Tag model window where you can add accounting tags to the requisition line. By adding accounting tags the system automatically prorates the amount and quantity of an accounting line according to the proration percentages defined on the Accounting Tag. Accounting tags are used to populate ChartFields on the transaction distribution lines as well.

Note: This link appears only if Accounting Tag check box is selected for eProcurement on the Accounting Tag Registration page. See Setting Up Accounting Tags

Save Confirmation Page

On selecting the Submit button on Checkout page, the Save Confirmation page (PV_MOB_855_CONF) appears with a message about submitting the requisition items for approval. The message disappears after two seconds. The Save Confirmation page displays the finalized requisition details that have been submitted for approval. You can navigate to other pages from this page via the Action menu. See Approving Requisitions Using PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface.

Use the Special Requests page (PV_MOB_SPECIAL_REQ) to create any special requests to requisitions if required. Use the Special Request page to create requisitions for items or goods that are not included in the standard catalog of items in PeopleSoft eProcurement and have no item ID. This special request can be for goods or services.

Use the My Preferences page to set up user preferences for the required pages.

Use the My Preferences page (PV_MOB_PREF_FL) to customize the following options:

  • Checkout options - Select to view and select from the list of options. Available option are Display Both Buttons, Save Button Only, and Submit Button Only, Based on the option selected the Submit and Save button will appear on the Checkout page.

  • Cart options – Select to view and select from the list of options. Available options are Auto Expand Cart and Collapsed Cart. Based on the option selected the cart will be expanded or collapsed when the user returns from the direct connect supplier website.

  • Search result display options - Select to view and select from the list of options. Available options are View Items First, View Web Suppliers First, and View Favorites First. Based on the option selected corresponding search result page will be displayed.

  • Item details options - Select to view and select from the list of options. Available options are Show Other Suppliers and Hide Other Suppliers. Based on the option selected other supplier information will be displayed on the Item Details page. This option is also dependent on the role action VIEW_ALL_SUPPLIERS. If this role action is enabled then other supplier information will be available to show or hide on this page based on this setting. However if this role action is not enabled then other suppliers will not be displayed and this setting will not be considered.
