If the tablet loses power during the recovery process, the operating system will become corrupt and you must perform a series of steps to restore the operating system and tablet.
Before starting the OS restore process for the Tablet 721/721P, you’ll need the following:
To perform an OS restore:
- Ensure your tablet is fully charged or plugged into a power outlet.
- Plug a USB keyboard into the tablet, and then power on the tablet.
- When the Recovery screen appears, press the Windows key on the USB keyboard to begin the recovery process.
- On the OS Restore dialog box, tap Yes or allow the process to automatically continue. The recovery process begins.
- On the OS Restore Finished dialog box, tap Reboot or allow the OS to automatically reboot to its out-of-box state.
- Configure the OS as needed, and then install any required Windows updates.
