The Policy Management SCEF network uses the Oracle Communication Services Gatekeeper (OCSG) as a proxy gateway. The gateway functions as a web server, providing either WebSocket RESTful APIs or communication over the T8 interface for user equipment (UE) machine type interaction. The gateway provides configurable, extensible mechanisms to apply rate, volume, and other limits on a per-application server (AS) or per-SCS basis.
OCSG clusters consist of an administrative server and a managed server that provides service.
