Testing the POS Connection

After configuring the POSEX provider, you can perform a live connection test to ensure that a connection can be established between eCommerce Integration Cloud Service and the POS application. For the Oracle Hospitality POS provider setup, this tests the API communication and shows a success or failure response. In the Web edition of eCommerce Integration Cloud Service, this test is performed at several points during the order process so that the guest is notified immediately.

1. Log in and go to the Tools dashboard.
2. Select Stores, and then search for the store.
3. Select the checkbox adjacent to the store, and then click the Edit link.
4. Click the POS tab.
5. Click the Test button to test the connection to the POS.
