1. Preface

1.1 Introduction

This manual is designed to help acquaint you with the Common Core Electronic Messaging Service module of Oracle Banking Payments.

The module supports various types of media. Besides standard media modes like Mail, Telex and SWIFT you can also use other media types supported by the Media Control System (MCS) installed at the node at which the database of your branch is installed. Oracle Banking Payments gives native support for media like Mail, Telex, and SWIFT using EMS as the MCS.

You can further obtain information specific to a particular field by placing the cursor on the relevant field and striking <F1> on the keyboard.
