Commit to a Task
Committing to a task is like telling other people involved in the project that you can complete the task by its specified due date. Your manager may require you to commit to your tasks before completing them. If you have the required permissions, you can commit to pending tasks that have due dates. An icon displays on task cards for incomplete tasks with commitments. See Task Icon Reference.
To commit to a task:
- Navigate to the Project Home screen.
- Tap the
Work Plan tile or the
Task List tile.
- Select a task.
- In the Task Details area, tap
Commit.
- On the Commitments screen, tap
Commit.
If you do not expect to finish a task by its due date after you have committed to it, you can recommit to it. This lets you provide a reason for the delay and any relevant comments. To recommit to a task, your organization's Primavera Cloud deployment must have at least one reason in its Reasons list. Reasons can only be added in the Primavera Cloud web application, and only users with certain security permissions can add them.
Note: You cannot move committed tasks to the hopper on the Work Plan screen.
