Working with the Fluid User Interface

When you work with PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface, the controls differ from PeopleSoft Classic. Instead of drop-down menu navigation, you interact with tiles, lists, and other objects. The following table describes how assistive devices identify these controls.

Homepage Tiles

Tiles on Fluid homepages are recognized as buttons by assistive devices. Use these buttons to navigate to transaction pages.

NavBar

The NavBar objects are recognized by assistive devices as buttons on the left that, when activated, display a list of associated items to the right. The list items can be links, folders, or other objects. Users can use the list items to access a page or folder, without having to navigate through the main menu.

Drag and drop functionality is not supported for Fluid homepages or dashboards when the Accessibility Layout option is set to Screen Reader On. Instead, use personalization options to reorder tiles or grouplets.
