Examples of XML Rule Behavior

Rules in OIPA are invoked when the user selects associated OIPA functionality for a specific business process. XML rules are configured for some of the following reasons:

  • Create OIPA screens with your business's specific fields.

  • Apply specific calculations and guidelines to various plans.

  • Define what calculations happen when an activity is processed on a policy.

  • Assist the execution of an activity to perform special processing.

  • Change the status of a policy.

  • Confirm that roles exist prior to activity processing.

  • Apply or withdraw money from the policy value.

  • Trigger messages that can inform the user of incorrect data or allow exceptions to be made.

  • Define security group access.
