Print Inventory Usage Report (PIUR)

Purpose: Use this menu option to print the Inventory Usage Report. This report provides the current inventory status for items that have been shipped or returned within a selected date range, as well as current inventory status for these items.

Non-inventory items: If the Create Item Transaction History for Non-Inventory Items (E39) system control value is unselected, the system does not track inventory history for items you do not actually stock and ship from your warehouse, such as drop ship items, set item masters, continuity item masters, subscriptions, membership items, and gift certificates. Even if the Create Item Transaction History for Non-Inventory Items (E39) system control value is selected, drop shipments are not included in the report if you select a specific warehouse at report generation, since shipment of a drop ship item is not associated with a warehouse.

Print Inventory Usage Report Screen

How to display this screen: Enter PIUR in the Fast path field at the top of any menu, or select Print Inventory Usage Report from a menu.

Field

Description

Start Date

Enter the first shipment (or return) date to include on the report. The report includes items that have been shipped or returned on or after this date. The start date must be on or earlier than the current date and the end date.

Numeric, 6 positions (MMDDYY format); required.

End Date

Enter the last shipment (or return) date to include on the report. The report includes items that have been shipped or returned on or before this date. The end date must be on or before the current date, and no earlier than the start date.

Numeric, 6 positions (MMDDYY format); required.

Warehouse

Optionally, enter a warehouse to include on the report, or leave this field blank to include all warehouses.

If you select a warehouse, the report includes items and SKU’s only if there was sale or return activity within that warehouse during the selected date range, and the Current Inventory Status totals on the report are based on the selected warehouse only rather than all allocatable warehouses. As a result, drop shipments are not included on the report if you select a warehouse; however, it is possible that returns of drop ship items are included if you receive the return into a warehouse and it affects inventory.

Warehouse codes are defined in and validated against the Warehouse table; see Creating and Maintaining Warehouses (WWHS) for more information.

Numeric, 3 positions; optional.

Completing this screen: Complete the Start Date and End Date fields and, optionally, the Warehouse field, then select Print Report to submit the INV_USAGE job, which generates the Inventory Usage Report.
