Post Demand to Order Level Forecast Files for Soldout Items (E58)

Purpose: Use this screen to define whether you post demand for items sold out in order entry.

Yes/no field: Select this field if you want to post demand updates for items that you sell out in order entry. You will also update demand for these items when they sell out in order maintenance if the Update Demand for Order Maintenance Transactions (C72) system control value is selected.

These tables will be updated if this system control value is selected:

• Offer/Drop/Period (FCODRP)

• Offer/Drop/Period/Day (FCODPD)

• Source Period (FCSCPR)

An item will be sold out in order entry or order maintenance based on a soldout control value you assign to an item or SKU. Soldout control codes are user-defined, but take one of these values:

• Sell out immediately

• Sell out when on-hand quantity is zero, excluding any quantity on open purchase orders

• Sell out when on-hand quantity is zero, including any quantity on open purchase orders

The system adds an item to an order with soldout status if it matches the status defined by its soldout control code. See Working with Soldout Controls (WSLD).

You can also sell out an item in order entry or order maintenance if it is currently backordered by selecting Sold Out for the item.

Leave this field unselected if you do not want to update these tables for items you sell out in order entry or order maintenance.
