Suppress Labels for RF LPN Transfers (L57)

Purpose: Use this screen to define whether the system suppresses the printing of the new RF LPN label when you process an RF LPN Transfer Pull transaction and partially pull the LPN quantity.

About RF LPN Transfer: RF LPN Transfer allows you to move a complete or partial LPN from its current warehouse and location to another specified warehouse and location. To complete an RF LPN Transfer transaction, you must perform both an RF LPN Transfer Pull Transaction and an RF LPN Transfer Put Transaction.

You can move a complete or partial LPN quantity. If you transfer less than the complete LPN quantity, the system assigns a new LPN number to the quantity in transit and looks at the setting of the Suppress Labels for RF LPN Transfers (L57) system control value to determine whether to print the new LPN label. The existing LPN number remains with the quantity you are leaving in its present location.

When you put the stock away in a primary location, the system deletes the LPN record.

Yes/No field: Select this field if you want the system to suppress the printing of the new RF LPN label when you process an RF LPN Transfer Pull transaction and partially pull the LPN quantity. When you partially pull the LPN quantity on the LPN Pull Stock Screen, the system advances you to the LPN Created screen, where you can review the new LPN number created and the location, item, SKU, and quantity on the new LPN. You can print the new LPN label using the Print LPN Label option in Radio Frequency Inquiry and Maintenance (RFMN).

Unselect this field if you want the system to print the new RF LPN label when you process an RF LPN Transfer Pull transaction and partially pull the LPN quantity. When you partially pull the LPN quantity on the LPN Pull Stock Screen, the system automatically prints the new LPN label.

Note:

Select this system control value only if you use LPN Tracking (E16).

• If you select this system control value, the system suppresses the printing of the new LPN label only during an RF LPN Transfer PULL transaction. If you partially put away the LPN quantity during an RF LPN Transfer PUT transaction, the system does not look at the setting of this system control value and immediately prints the new LPN label.
