Adding a Suites Interface in Simphony First Edition

You must configure a new interface for the POS clients to communicate with the LSM Suites Services Listener. If multiple properties in the same enterprise are using Suites, add a new interface record for each property and repeat the steps in this section for each property running Suites.

  1. From the EMC, select the Enterprise, and then click Interfaces.
  2. Insert a new record named Suites, and then double-click the record to open it.
  3. On the General tab, configure the settings as follows:
    • Communication Name: Enter Suites.

    • Interface Type: Select 0 - PMS/SIM.

    • Communication Type: Select 1 - TCP/IP.

    • Timeout: Enter 30.

    • ISL Script Name: Enter SuiteMgt.

  4. On the Options tab, select the following options:
    • 1 - Use 19 Digit Reference Entry for PMS Inquiries

    • 2 - Enable Interface Log

    • 3 - Allow Inquiry without Sign-In

    • 5 - ON = Use 9 digits for Terminal ID’s; OFF = Use 2 digits for Terminal ID’s

    • 8 - Enable Offline Posting

  5. Enter the TCP Host Name and the Port Number.

This is the name or IP address of the machine where the Suites Service is running.

  6. On the Properties tab, select the property that is using Suites.

Assign only one property for this interface.

  7. On the Service Host tab, select the Service Host that is running the Suites Service and the Transaction Services at the property level.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Select the revenue center, and then click RVC Parameters.
  10. On the Format tab, enter 10 for the Number of Guest Check Information Lines.

This allows Simphony First Edition to contain Suites information in the check detail area.

  11. On the Interfaces tab, assign the Suites interface to one of the interfaces fields, and then click Save.
