Troubleshooting a Connection that is Down

To troubleshoot a connection that is down:

  1. Record the error exactly as shown. Do not change, shorten, or interpret it before searching.
  2. Record the Last Connection Test, Last Connected, and time zone.
  3. Identify whether the message is Unable to connect to adapter service or an ERP connection error.
  4. If you see an Unable to connect to adapter service message, follow the adapter-service troubleshooting steps below.

Note: For an ERP connection error, open the Integration Troubleshooting section for your adapter. Find the exact error shown in Connection Status and follow its recommended resolution.

  5. Check for recent ERP maintenance or password, certificate, database, or network changes.
  6. If you are authorized to manage ERP authentication, confirm that the configured credentials are current. Never enter credentials supplied by an unverified source.
  7. Ask your ERP or IT administrator to verify that the ERP system and required database, API, web service, network route, or customer-hosted adapter are available.
  8. After correcting the issue, wait for the next automatic connection test. Textura should update the status when the test finishes.
  9. If the error is not documented or the connection remains down, contact Textura Support.
