Troubleshooting an Unable to Connect to Adapter Service Error
The Unable to connect to adapter service message means Textura is not receiving the expected communication from the adapter. It does not necessarily mean the adapter cannot connect to the ERP.
Customer-Hosted Adapter
Ask your integration or IT administrator to:
- Confirm that the adapter host or server is on and available.
- Confirm the TexturaLink adapter service or process is running.
- Confirm that the adapter host can make the required outbound connection to Textura.
- Check for recent firewall, proxy, DNS, certificate, operating-system, or network changes that could prevent the adapter from reaching Textura.
- Restart the adapter service only if an authorized administrator determines it is appropriate and follows your organization’s approved procedure.
Contact Textura Support if you need further assistance.
Oracle-Hosted Adapter
Contact Textura Support and provide the displayed message and timestamps. Oracle manages the adapter service and its hosting environment.
Caution: Do not change ERP credentials solely because you see Unable to connect to adapter service. Review them only if the error identifies an ERP authentication or authorization problem.
After the adapter resumes communicating with Textura, wait for the next automatic test. Textura updates the Connection Status when the test finishes.
