Managing Variation Compliance
Use the application to view variation compliance and require the signed receipt of variations.
Configuring Variation Compliance
From the Payment Holds section on the Project Settings page, select the Require Variation Compliance option. When selected, the application places a hold on payments for any contractor who bills for line items with non-compliant variations.
- This setting requires compliance tracking for all Subcontractor variations on a project.
- Users with the Compliance Manager will update the variation compliance status.
Viewing Variations
From the Subcontracts project menu at the top of any project page, select the Subcontract Variations page.
Updating the Variation Compliance Status
- From the Subcontract Variations tab of the Variations page, find the row for the variation to update.
- From the drop-down menu in the Compliance Status column for the variation to edit, select a new status.
- A Success message displays, confirming your changes to the Variation compliance have been saved.
- The application enforces variation holds once you approve the Subcontractor invoice.
Enforcing Holds
The application automatically applies a hold if two criteria are met:
- Variation Compliance is set to Non-Compliant
- The Subcontractor bills for a line item which includes a variation.
Removing Holds
Remove a variation compliance hold in two ways:
- Use the Variations page: Update the compliance status to Compliant or Not applicable.
- Use the Edit Payment Status page: Override the hold and release the payment.
Note: This override does not change the compliance status for the Subcontractor variations. The hold may apply to future invoices.
