Upload Payment Application

Tip

Approve Subcontractor Payment Applications before creating the Owner Payment Application. Ensure all required Subcontractor Payment Applications have been received and approved or rejected. If you send the Payment Application to the Signer before approving a Subcontractor's Payment Application, the Subcontractor will be excluded from the period.

Approve Subcontractor payment applications before creating your payment application. Ensure you have received and approved or rejected all required Subcontractor claims. If you send the payment application to the Signer before approving a Subcontractor's payment application, the application will exclude the Subcontractor from the period.

To upload a payment application:

  1. Navigate to your Billing Workflow
  2. Select the Progress tab.
  3. From the More menu, select Upload Billing Amounts.
  4. From the Upload Billing Amount dialogue box, select a template to get a pre-formatted Excel spreadsheet for uploading. Choose from either: This Period Billing Amount or To Date Billing Amounts.The template includes phase codes, description, budget amounts, and the current billing amounts for the line items in your contract.
  5. Select Download Template.
  6. Update the file with desired billing and retention values.

    Caution: If your retention amounts do not meet the retention settings, the system will override the amounts in the file.

  7. Save the CSV file.
  8. From the Upload Billing Amounts dialogue box, under the Upload The Template section, select the ellipsis ... button and select the file you saved in Step 7.
  9. Select Upload.

Verify Entries and Totals

  1. Review the entries on the Progress tab.
  2. Check the billing totals at the bottom of the page.
  3. Choose Save to save the payment application. You to edit the payment application or move it through the billing workflow.

    Note: Payment application can be saved at any time or edited until it has been signed. The Revert button discards changes and returns the it to the last saved version.
