Closing a Period
To close a period:
- Navigate to the Close Period Page
From the Period Home Page, select Close Period. The button displays after the payment application is first signed.
- Optional. Select the Delete period for all participants check box. If the check box is grayed out, payment applications have been received. Payment applications must be rejected before the period can be deleted.
- (Optional) Close the Main Contractor period to remove the ability to add additional Subcontractors to the period. If additional Subcontractors must be invited, the Project Manager must reopen the period. Selecting this option will move the period to the Pending Payment section of the Period Home Page.This option is only available in the disabled Owner billing workflow. When Owner billing is enabled, the page does not include this option.
- Choose the Close Period Button.
Tip
Received payment application for a closed period are still available for review as long as the period is not deleted.
Notes:
- Any Subcontractor that has a Payment Not Received status will be removed when the period is closed. They will be notified that they have been excluded from the period. Subcontractors can be added to a closed period, if applicable.
- You cannot close a period if a subcontractor has VAT Invoice attachments. Refer to the Sub-Tiers with Attachments column on the Modify Subcontracts with Outstanding invoices table to view the sub-tiers that are impacted.
