Contract Level Retention Overview

When choosing Project Settings, consider using Contract Level Retention. This setting holds retention against a total billed amount rather than against individual line items. It includes the ability to apply stepped retention rules that automatically adjust the retention rate based on the amount of work completed.

Caution: Once this setting is selected, Contract Level Retention cannot be removed from a project.

Contact your Textura Administrator to use this setting.

Choose a Contract Level Retention rule for the General Contractor and a rule for Subcontractors. These rules do not need to reflect one another.
You cannot use Component Level Retention on projects that use Contract Level Retention.
