E4807 Cmd Rej: TPS exceeded for card

The maximum allowed TPS values for E5-ENET, E5-ENET-B, and SLIC cards are:
  • E5-ENET - 5000 TPS
  • E5-ENET-B when the E5-ENET-B IPSG High Throughput feature is turned off - 6500 TPS
  • E5-ENET-B when the E5-ENET-B IPSG High Throughput feature is turned on - 9500 TPS
  • SLIC - 12000 TPS

For the chg-card and ent-slk commands, the resulting total TPS of all signaling links configured for the card cannot exceed the maximum capacity for the card.

For the chg-ctrl-feat command, if any IPSG card in the system has a configured card capacity above 6500 TPS, then the E5-ENET-B IPSG High Throughput feature cannot be turned off.

For the chg-ls command, the value specified for the slktps/rsvdslktps parameter cannot cause the card to exceed the total maximum capacity of the card.

Recovery

  1. Display the card types in the system. Enter the rtrv-card command.
  2. Display the configured TPS for the cards. Enter the rept-stat-iptps command.
  3. Display the status of the E5-ENET-B IPSG High Throughput feature. Enter the rtrv-ctrl-feat command.
If the feature does not appear in the output, then the feature is not enabled. If the feature has a status of OFF, then the feature is enabled but is not turned on.
  4. If this error message was generated by the chg-card, chg-ls, or ent-slk command, then another card must be added or signaling links must be deleted. Refer to the Maintenance Guide (adding cards), to Database Administration - IP7 User's Guide (IP links) and to Database Administration - SS7 User's Guide (SS7 links).
  5. If this error message was generated by the chg-ctrl-feat command, then signalling links must be deleted. Refer to Database Administration - IP7 User's Guide (IP links) or to Database Administration - SS7 User's Guide (SS7 links) for assistance.
