1496 - EAGLE EEDB Message Failure

This UIM occurs when an EAGLE EEDB Message Failure has occurred.

Alarm Level: No alarm condition. The message is informational only.

Recovery

  1. Executing the rtrv-ip-conn:open command should display open=yes. If not, execute the chg-ip-conn command and set open=yes.
  2. Execute the rept-stat-ipconn command and check if the connection is down. Ping the EEDB server, which is added as RHOST for this connection. If the ping response is not received, check the network connection.
  3. Check the error cause to determine why the error occurred; some errors are autocorrected. If not autocorrected, execute the following commands: chg-ip-conn:cname=<>:open=no and chg-ip-conn:cname=<>:open=yes
  4. check if the maximum TPS limit is exceeded. If so, stop the traffic.
