Recovery

The message should be analyzed to determine the error, and the originating node should be contacted to send corrected message.

When processing MSU for SMS MO, this UIM is generated when one of the following occurs:

• Mandatory SM-RP-UI parameter is absent from the MO ForwardSM message.
• The TPDU type is SMS-SUBMIT and the parameter length is less then 4 + number of digit bytes specified in the number of digit field.
• The TPDU type is SMS-COMMAND and the parameter length is less then 7 + number of digit bytes specified in the number of digit field.
• Number of digits is 0 or greater than 20.
