Description. Indication of Generic CRO Y/N in a special chain ownership mode (when ORS_CM is activated only).
Internal Name. GENERIC_CRO
Property Determination. Set to Y to set the selected CRO as a GENERIC CRO. Set to N to set the selected CRO as a CHAIN CRO.
GENERIC CRO - Has the ability to be linked to multiple chains, but with limited ORS functionality. When users are granted access to all the chains and properties within the generic CRO (under Setup > User Configuration > Users > Edit > CRO Access/Property Access), system configuration will be available to them. Additionally, users must also have Configuration and ORS application access control assigned to them (under Setup > User Configuration > Users > Edit) as well as any applicable configuration permissions (under Setup > User Configuration > Users > Edit > Permission).
CHAIN CRO - Can only be linked to one chain, but with full ORS functionality.
When the GENERIC CRO, CHAIN OWNERSHIP and CRO PROPERTY LINK parameters are active and OEDS is configured to initialize with a Generic CRO, profile management will be prohibited in the OWS Name, Membership and Security web services. An error response will be returned for these web services when requests are made.
Activation / Inactivation Rules. |
With the activation of this parameter, even though cross selling can occur across multiple chain brands, only profiles that are associated with the specific chain will be displayed. If a profile is created, then it will be saved with the Chain Code and Property Code where it was created at. |

Notes. |
The value defined for this application parameter will not have an effect on the synchronization of the CRO Configuration and the CRO Property Link. These will always be in sync for the CRO. |
