BLOCK ROOM TYPE WITH RETURN MAPPING Permission

Permission Group. BLOCKS

Description. When granted, users can block a PMS Room Type in the Business Block Room Grid when that Room Type has a Return Mapping to an S&C Room Type. When not granted, users cannot block rooms for a PMS Room Type that has a Return Mapping to an S&C Room Type. (See System Configuration > Reservations > Room Classifications > S&C Room Types where mapping occurs on the S&C Room Mapping screen.)

Note: S&C room types do not allocate rooms to PMS room types that have a return mapping. However, return mapped PMS room types can be manually selected to meet the needs of the booking, and the pick-up of rooms of the return mapped PMS room type isreflected back in the data for the mapped S&C room type.

Path.

To access the Rooms Grid for a business block in PMS, select Reservations > Blocks > Business Block where the Business Block Search screen opens. To access the Business Block Search screen when the OPS<version number> OPERA Sales and Catering license is active, select Business Management > Business Block. From the Business Block Search screen highlight the business block to see the room grid and select Edit to display the S&C Room Types or PMS Room Types.
