Convert Production Data

Note: A password, available from Oracle Systems Development, is required to run this utility. This utility should be used with extreme caution and understanding of its impact.

The production data conversion utility (Utilities > Data > Convert Production Data) is used in an environment where S&C is activated on a date after PMS or ORS properties have already been operational. The utility creates the net production data that did not exist before S&C became active and balances the net production data back into on-the-books revenue. This utility must be run separately for each property in a multi-property environment and requires the start date of when S&C was activated. It allows you to select ALL blocks or specific blocks you want converted.

Several database tables are used during the process, including:

• Allotment_Changes - stores block revenue: rooms, inclusive packages, and inclusive taxes lumped in one revenue field.
• Allotment_Changes_Net - tracks block net revenue changes in terms of rooms, F&B, Non-Revenue, and Other. The information in this table is used for all S&C production reports that allow the selection to print net or gross room revenue.

  Note: When using this utility, if net production DOES exist before the entered S&C Active Date, this net production will be compared with on-the-books room nights and revenues, and if necessary, an additional record will be created to bring net production in line with the on-the-books figures.

Converting Production Data

• Select Utilities > Data > Convert Production Data.
• Enter your password and select Login.

The Convert Production Data processing screen displays.

• Property. In a multi-property environment, select the property whose net production data you want to convert.
• S&C Active Date. Enter the date of one day before the S&C license was activated.
• Business Block. Select the LOV to open the Business Block Search Screen where you can select specific business blocks for production synchronization. If no business blocks are selected, ALL active business blocks for the property will be synchronized.

Select OK to begin the production data conversion process.

The following 'Converting Production Data...' message displays.

When successfully converted, a 'Successfully Completed' message will appear.
