Customer Initiated Transaction (CIT) ID

When the IFC > Payment Service Directive application parameter is set to Y, OPERA saves the Customer Initiated Transaction (CIT) ID contained in the inbound OXI reservation messages with credit card data.

The following OPERA screens will send out the saved CIT ID with the initiated credit card transactions to the Payment Partner. When there is no saved CIT ID, it can be included in the responses and will be saved in OPERA:

OXI Incoming Messages for New or Update Reservation

When OXI sends a New Reservation or an Update Reservation message to OPERA that contains credit card information with a CIT ID, OPERA stores the CIT ID along with the credit card payment information. The incoming OXI message to OPERA includes the CIT ID in the ElementType name="resCitId."

Viewing the CIT ID in OPERA

OPERA PMS users can view the CIT ID in the Reservation Changes Log's NEW RESERVATION and UPDATE RESERVATION action types by navigating to Reservation > Options > Changes Log. The CIT ID is read-only.
