Description. Default owner initials for users without owner code, or for externally created records.

Property Determination. In ASP mode, Supervisor (owner initials ALL) is not available as a "record owning" entity throughout all properties in the ASP system. The property default owner set by this application setting will be used if the current user does not have owner initials or if the record is created via API (e.g., by an external system).

This default owner will take the place of owner initials ALL that are defaulted in non-ASP mode. Even if OWNER functionality is inactive and the owner fields are not visible on the UI, the owner records are created with the default owner as defined in the application setting. If the application setting is not defined, owner initials will not be defaulted and will have to be selected on record creation in S&C and in PMS when logged in with a user without owner initials. When receiving records from external systems and no default owner is set in OXI or in OPERA, the appropriate records will be created without owner association in OPERA. The same to records created via UI when OWNER functionality is inactive in PMS and/ or ORS.

ALL is not available in OXI as a selection for the default profile owner or block owner for properties that are not in the same chain as the Supervisor. In ASP mode, the default owner is set per property via the General>Default Owner application setting. (This setting is available in ASP mode only.) The Block Owner/Profile Owner LOV has the same selections as the Default Owner LOV for the OPERA property. The default owner is used for all profiles/blocks without an owner code, or for externally created records. When receiving records from an external system and no default owner is configured in OXI or in OPERA, the records will be created without an owner in OPERA.
