Description. Name of program used to compress files (e.g., ZIP).

Internal Name. EXPORT_ZIPPROGRAM

Property Determination.  Associated zip program to be used to compress files such as Night Audit reports and OPERA export files.

The Oracle freeware unzip utility UNZIP (unzip.exe) may be specified here. This utility, along with the Oracle freeware ZIP utility (zip.exe), are provided in the Oracle bin directory on the application server. Files compressed using ZIP may be uncompressed using UNZIP.

Note: OPERA does not recommend the usage of PKZIP/PKUNZIP as these utilities do not work in a 64 bit environment. Utilities that can be used are ZIP/UNZIP or PKZIPC/PKUNZIPC.

Note: If export files are set up with a target zip file path and filename (in the Zip File Name field on the Export File Details screen) and the Compress Data check box is selected, when the export file is generated, the zip file gets created automatically.  If Compress Data is not checked, even if the file name and location are specified, the zip file will not be created.
