Description. When printing multiple folios, the associated legend (e.g., Original, First Copy of Invoice, etc.) will print on the folio. Activating this setting will add approximately 6-8 seconds per copy to the folio generation process!

Internal Name. FOLIO_COPY_LEGEND

Property Determination. When printing multiple folios, the configured folio copy legend (e.g., Original, First Copy of Invoice, Second Copy of Invoice, etc.) will print on the folio if the value is set to Y or W. Y will add a standard folio copy legend as determined by placement of the merge code FOLIO_COPY_LEGEND. W activates the watermark-style folio copy legend where the configured folio copy legend is printed in the background of the folio, "behind" the folio text. (The watermark folio copy legend is available only for report groups Folios, AR Folios, Post It Folios, and Passerby Folios.) N will de-activate the folio copy legend feature.

Note: The folio copy legend appears on a folio only when actually printing the folio (and copies of the folio) at the time of settlement or check out from the Billing screen. The folio copy legend is not visible when the folio is Previewed before printing, and the folio copy legend is not included when reprinting folios through Folio History.

Other Application Settings.

When this application setting is set to W, the watermark folio copy legend is available only for report groups Folios, AR Folios, Post It Folios, and Passerby Folios.

But if this application setting is set to N or Y and the General>Report Watermark application parameter is set to Y, then the watermark functionality is available for all Report Groups and Reports.

When W is selected, Watermark button is available on the Report Group/Report Configuration screens (Configuration>Setup>Reports Setup>Report Groups > Edit and Configuration>Setup>Reports Setup>Reports > Edit).

If value = Y, the merge code FOLIO_COPY_LEGEND will need to be added to the folio for the information to be printed.

When using the FOLIO COPY LEGEND functionality with the OPERA XMPL, the OPERAXMLP.cfg file must be modified from:

so that the PDF is not compressed.

OPERA generates the folio (original) with default legend text information (merge code FOLIO_COPY_LEGEND). Based on the number of copies defined in the report configuration, one or multiple copies of the original file will be created and OPERA will search in the copies for the legend text and replace this text with the translatable message. Depending on the size of the folio, approximately 6- 8 seconds per copy will be added to the time taken to the folio generation process.

This merge code will only be active when generating a folio through Billing. When re-printing a folio through Folio History, this functionality is not active, as a folio printed will automatically be a 'Copy of Invoice' and the number of copies as defined in the report configuration does not apply.
