Duplicate Profile (prduplicateprofile with PRF2.FMX)

The Duplicate Profile Report displays profile information to assist in determining if duplicate profiles exist. You may choose to match on like Name and Address information, Membership Number, Passport Number, Credit Card Number, or Tax ID. This report may be helpful in determining profiles that can be merged or purged.

Selection Criteria

Filter

Profile Type. Select the down arrow to choose a profile type. The option for Source is displayed when the Profiles>Source application function is set to Y.

Note: When the Profiles>Extended Account Name Search application parameter is set to Y, the report will list possible duplicate Company, Travel Agent, Source, and Vendor profiles only when the Name, Name2, and Name3 match. For other profile types, the report will return profiles where the Name matches (dependent on other match criteria.)

Name. Enter the name you wish to search for. (Enter the last name for Individual or Contact profile types.) OPERA will search on partial names as well as complete names. A partial name consists of the beginning characters of the name. (For example, S, SM, SMI, and SMIT are all partial names for Smith, Smithe, Smithers, and so on.) Use the % wildcard to stand for any characters or spaces. (For example, SM%TH represents Smith, Smythe, Smithe, Smithers, Smathers, Smithson, Smoothey, and so on.)

First Name. Enter the first name of the Individual or Contact profile you wish to search for. (This field is not available for View All, Company, Travel Agent, Source, and Group profile types.) OPERA will search on partial names as well as complete names. A partial name consists of the beginning characters of the name. (For example, J, JO, and JOH, are all partial names for John, Johnathan, Johan, etc.) Use the % wildcard to stand for any characters or spaces. (For example, J%N represents Jan, Jean, John, Joann, Jonathan, and so on.)

Search By

If you leave the Name and First Name fields blank (i.e., a null value), and select the Member Number/Corp ID/IATA Profile option, OPERA will display all profiles that have matching values entered in the profile for Membership Number, Corporate ID, and/or IATA Number regardless of the name. If you enter name information (Name and/or First Name, full or partial) and then select the Member Number/Corp ID/IATA Profile option, all profiles with a possible match on both name and Membership Number, Corporate ID, and/or IATA Number would be displayed; blanks (i.e., null values) in the profile for Membership Number, Corporate ID, and/or IATA Number constitute a match.

Profile. Select the down arrow to make a single choice from the listed profile feature options.

• Name. Select this option to search for profiles having the same name along with any options in the Match Criteria section. (At least one Match Criteria option must be chosen.)
• Member Number/Corp ID/IATA. Select this option to search for profiles having duplicate membership numbers (or for company and travel agent profiles, duplicate corporate ID numbers or IATA numbers). When you select this option, the Membership Type field becomes available. The options in the Match Criteria section become unavailable.
• Passport No. Select this option to search for profiles having duplicate passport numbers. The options in the Match Criteria section become unavailable.
• Credit Card. Select this option to search for profiles having duplicate credit card numbers. The options in the Match Criteria section become unavailable.
• Tax ID. Select this option to search for profiles having duplicate tax IDs. The options in the Match Criteria section become unavailable.

Membership Type. Available when the Member Number/Corp ID/IATA Profile option is selected. Select the down arrow to choose the membership types you wish to use to control the search for duplicate membership numbers.

Match Criteria

Select the criteria you want matched along with the name on the profile (only the Profile-Name has options available): Address, City, Postal Code, or Nationality.

Note: Blanks in a profile record for the selected criteria constitute a possible duplicate. For example, if you are searching for profiles with the same name and address, two profile records for Jane Doe with blank (or incomplete) addresses would be displayed as possible duplicates.

Address1. When selected, the report will further filter by matching on profiles that have the same Address 1.

Address 2. When selected, the report will further filter by matching on profiles that have the same Address 2.

City. When selected, the report will further filter by profiles with the same City.

Postal Code. When selected, the report will further filter by profiles with the same postal code.

Nationality. When selected, the report will further filter by profiles with the same Nationality.

Sort By

Note: The report output is sorted by the option selected in the Search By report filter and then by the option selected here in the Sort By section.

Address1, Address2, City, Client ID/IATA, Country, Credit Card Number, Last Stay Date, Membership No., Membership Type, Nationality, Passport, Postal Code, Profile Type, State

Report Output

Note: By default, Passport Numbers and ID Numbers are masked except for the last two characters.

Name. Name for the profile.

Type. Profile type of the profile.

Mem Type. Membership Type attached to the profile.

Member No. Number of the membership displayed in the Membership Type column.

Client ID/IATA/Corp. ID. ID Number attached to the profile.

Address1. Address Line 1 details of the profile.

Address2. Address Line 2 details of the profile.

City. City of the profile.

Postal Code. Postal Code for the profile.

St. State of the profile.

Cntry. Country of the profile.

Last Stay Date. Last Date that the profile stayed at the property.

Passport No. Passport number for the profile, should one exist.

Credit Card No. Any credit card numbers that are attached to the profile are displayed here masked.

Nat. Nationality of the guest profile.

Tax ID. Tax ID attached to the profile.
