Quick Response Code

A Quick Response (QR) code is dynamically generated and populated in every fiscal document along with the CODIGO code using the API in the database and the .rdf file, which includes the parameter values to populate the QR code image. The QR code on the fiscal document provides easy access to certain information through an electronic device with scanning capabilities such as a smartphone.

Folio stationery values can be customized to populate the QR code with the values such as Property Tax No, Legal Owner, Fiscal Bill No, and so on. The values are converted to a QR code image on the printed document. The QR code can be placed in the folio header, folio details, or folio footer section; however, the parameter values to generate the QR code are limited to its location. For example, if the QR code is located in the folio header, the parameters/fields located in the folio header can be used to generate the QR code. Any field that belongs to the folio detail or in the folio footer cannot be used in the QR code generation if the QR code is located in the header.

Four error correction capability levels exist on QR code configuration that can be used to recover data if the QR code is ever damaged or dirty. To select the error correction level, various factors such as the operating environment and QR code size need to be considered:

Each level adds increasing amounts of backup data depending on how much damage the QR code is expected to sustain in its intended operating environment. Raising the level improves the error correction capability but increases the QR code density and printing size.
