Thresholds Reservation Option

For the Threshold Reservation Option to be available, you must verify the below requirements are met:

CASHIERING > Functions > TRANSACTION DIVERSIONS must be set to Y.

CASHIERING > Parameters > TRANSACTION THRESHOLD must be set to Y.

RESERVATIONS > TRANSACTION THRESHOLD RULE permission is granted to your user or user group. You must grant this permission to your user in order to attach Reservation Type Threshold rules to a reservation.

A Thresholds indicator lamp will display on the Reservation screen when a reservation has a threshold rule attached. Select the Options button and select Thresholds to view a read-only screen of the property threshold rules attached to the reservation.

The Reservation Thresholds screen indicates if the Threshold rule is Property level or Reservation level and if it is based on Count, Quantity, or Minutes. Select New to attach a Reservation type Threshold rule to the reservation.

Note: When attaching a Threshold rule, it cannot be used when the reservation is not in-house.

To attach a Reservation type Threshold rule

  1. Select New.
  2. Select the Code LOV.
  3. Choose a Threshold rule code to attach the rule. Additionally, you can add comments when attaching the rule, and you also have the option to inactivate the rule by selecting the Inactivate check box.
  4. Select OK.

Note: Reservation type Threshold rules can be attached to an active reservation on the day of arrival, after check in, or that is arriving in the future. When editing an attached threshold rule, only the comments field can be edited.

Select Delete to delete manually attached Reservation type Threshold rules from the reservation. Only manually attached Threshold rules can be deleted as long as no transaction has been accounted towards the rule.

Note: If a reservation has two Threshold rules attached, either Property or Reservation type or a combination of the two that both contain the same transaction code, the sequence associated with the rule will determine how the charge is processed and which PM room it is diverted to. The rule with the lowest sequence number has the highest priority.
