This graphic shows four instances in RAMScaleDB, where instance 1 and 2 are connected to each other. Instance 3 and 4 are connected to each other. But instance 1 and 2 are not connected to instances 3 and 4 because of a partitioned network failure separating these hosts from each other. If an application connects to instance 1, it can retrieve data from instances 1 and 2, but will not see any data that resides on instances 3 or 4.
