If you have the applicable permission, you can copy a business process (BP) record or individual line items within a record. When you copy a record, the data from both the main and detail forms are copied. A copy of the record is created in the same location as the source item. Auto-populated values and image pickers are also copied from the source record or line item. Attachments are copied only if you select the Copy with Attachments option. In Text-type BPs, you can only copy the record; attachments, general comments, and responses are not copied. If the value in a BP picker does not meet the filtering conditions that have been configured for the created BP, the value of the BP picker is not copied and is left blank. Additionally, in the Step Form of the created BP, any data elements that are configured to auto-populate from the picker are cleared.
To allow you to copy a BP record or its line items, the administrator must ensure that the Disable Record Copy option in Permission Settings for the applicable BP is not selected for your account or a group to which you belong. If you do not have permission to copy a record or line items within a record, the system displays a corresponding message to explain why you cannot complete the copy process.
Note: If an administrator has enabled the Disable Record Copy option and you use Copy with Attachments or Copy without Attachments while your device is in Offline mode, the copy process might work; however, when your device is in Online mode, the system does not sync the copied record.
