E3860 Cmd Rej: Link not valid for card or application type

Link A can be specified for an E5-ENET or E5-ENET-B card running the SS7IPGW or IPGWI application.

Links A - A7 and B - B7 can be specified for an E5-ENET or E5-ENET-B card running the IPLIM or IPLIMI application.

Links A - A15 and B - B15 can be specified for an E5-ENET or E5-ENET-B card running the IPSG application.

If the value specified for the lhost parameter refers to an IPSG card or a DEIR card running the DEIRHC/DEIR64 GPL, then the link parameter cannot be specified.

Recovery

  1. Display the information for the card in the location of interest. Enter the rtrv-card:loc= command.
    The card’s application is shown in the APPL field of the output.
  2. Re-enter the ent/chg-assoc command that generated this error message, specifying a valid combination of parameters. Refer to the command description in Commands User's Guide and to the Database Administration - IP7 User's Guide for assistance.
