E4579 Cmd Rej:MTPLPRST option must be on

For the chg-stpopts command, if the Origin-based MTP Routing feature is enabled, then the mtplprst=no parameter cannot be specified.

For the enable-ctrl-feat command, the mtplprst=yes parameter must be specified (see the chg-stpopts command) before the Origin-based MTP Routing feature can be enabled.

Recovery

  1. If necessary, display the status of the Origin-based MTP Routing feature. Enter the rtrv-ctrl-feat command.
If the feature does not appear in the output, then the feature is not enabled. If the feature has a status of OFF, then the feature is enabled but is not turned on.
  2. Turn off the Origin-based MTP Routing feature as necessary. Refer to the Database Administration - SS7 User's Guide for assistance.
  3. If necessary, display the status of the mtplprst option. Enter the rtrv-stpopts command.
  4. Configure the mtplprst parameter as necessary. Refer to the command description in Commands User's Guide for assistance.
  5. Re-enter the command that generated this error message.
