E2387 Cmd Rej: Card is not in service

For the act/dact-cdl, act-dlk, act/dact-lbp, pass, rept-stat-rtd, and tst-j1 commands, the card specified by the loc parameter must be in service.

The card must be Active before the act/dact-ip-lnk command can be entered.

A type IPSM card must be in service before the act-ftp-trns command can be entered.

For the act-upgrade command, a type IPSM card must be provisioned before a value of getrel or chkrel can be specified for the action parameter.

Caution:

It is strongly recommended that this command be used only in conjunction with the system Upgrade Procedure for the target release. The Upgrade Procedure provides step-by-step information on performing an upgrade.

For the chg-db command, a type IPSM card must be provisioned before the chg-db:action=restore:src=server or chg-db:action=backup:dest=server command can be entered.

Recovery

  1. Display the status of the cards in the system. Enter the rept-stat-card command.
Verify that the card has been provisioned correctly. If the card is in service, the entry IS-NR appears in the PST field of the output. If the card is Active, then ACTIVE appears in the SST field of the output.
  2. Re-enter the command that generated this error message, specifying a card location that is in service.
