Adding a New Note

Notes can be added to any project and are meant to be used for additional explanations and clarifications.

To add a new project note

  1. Navigate to the Notes page by selecting (Project #) > Go To > Notes from the Top Navigation bar, or by clicking the Notes link on the Left Navigation bar within a particular project.
  2. Click the Create button.
  3. Select the note type from the pull-down menu. Certain types of notes, like Executive Summary and Phase conclusion are available through the project reports.
  4. Enter the text of the note.
  5. Select a date for the note. You can type the date in the field or use the calendar.
  6. Click Save to add the note.

    Notes:

    • The limit for the text box is 4000 bytes. Instead of very long notes, you may want to consider creating a new project document.
    • If your system is configured to have confidential notes, you will be able to make a note confidential. If you make a note confidential, you must also specify which members of the project team can view that note.
