Configuring Web Privacy Policy Settings

From the Web Privacy Policy Settings page, you can create a privacy policy for your organization. You can choose to display the privacy policy as link in the footer of the application or require users to read the privacy policy and provide their consent . The privacy policy you set here is also used as the consent notice for the web application, and is displayed when users log in to the application for the first time. The application requires the default consent notices to be created in English.

To configure a privacy policy for the web application:

  1. Select the Privacy Configuration tab.
  2. Select the Web Privacy Policy Settings link.
  3. Select how you want to enter your privacy policy. Choose HTML Text, Simple Text, or External Privacy Policy Web Page.
  4. If you selected HTML Text or Simple Text:
    1. From the Languages drop-down menu, select English.
    2. Enter and format the text. The character limit is 64000.

      Note: Work with your data security and legal teams to determine the wording of the privacy policy.

    3. Click the Validate and Preview button.
    4. Review and click the Apply button.
  5. If you selected External Privacy Policy Web Page:
    1. From the Languages drop-down menu, select English.
    2. Enter external web link to your organizations web policy page.
    3. Click Save.
  6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 for each additional language.
