OPERA Self Pay Charges to a Room

OPERA Self Pay enables a guest to pay the check by adding payment to a room folio. OPERA Self Pay is supported with:
  • Simphony release 19.1 or later

  • Oracle Hospitality OPERA 5 Hotel Property Systems release 5.5.0.19 or later (release 5.6.1.0 or later is required to view the check image showing a signature)

  • OPERA Cloud 20.2.0.0 or later

Orders are placed either by an employee or by the guest on a guest-facing device. OPERA Self Pay is compatible with all supported Simphony Windows and Android devices. For a full list of supported devices, see the Oracle Food & Beverage Compatibility Matrix.

At the end of the dining experience or when delivering the order to a guest in a hotel room, the guest can either pay via a Room Charge button, or the employee can present a device to the guest so that they can go through the room charge verification process. The guest can:
  • View the check

  • Add a tip or change the tip value

  • Select a different language

  • Charge entire check to a room account

  • Enter a room number and guest last name

  • Sign the check with electronic signature

  • Enter a valid email address and receive a receipt electronically through email
