DOM is a function that is used to dynamically show order information on KDS Displays. This allows prep cooks to view an order as it is being ordered. Order chits update as the order is being entered, as opposed to waiting for the operator to service total the check. If the customer changes the order at any time, the KDS updates to reflect those changes in the order chit. DOM is primarily used in quick service restaurants, and often in drive-thru environments.
