Description of the illustration x78_db_rear

The image is a picture of the rear of the Oracle Server X7-8. In the upper left corner left is the label B and SMOD with an arrow pointing to the right. At the top, the SMOD 1 has four server storage drives slots 0-3 (SAS HDD/SSD). Below the drives are the SMOD1 System B System Summary status indicator LEDs: Locate, Service Action Required, OK, and SP. To the right of the System Summary LEDs are the NET MGT 10/100/1000BASE-T port and the SER MGT RJ-45 port. To the right of the network ports is a USB 3.0 port. Below the USB port are the SMOD LEDs: Fault-Service Required, OK, and HBA Host Bus Adapter Fault. To the right of the USB port are four 10/100/1000 GbE Network ports labeled NET0, NET1, NET2, and NET3.

To the right of the System A SMOD 1 unit is the System B SMOD 0 unit. At the top are four server storage drives slots 0-3 (SAS HDD/SSD).

At the bottom of the server are PCIe3 card slots 1 (on the far right) through16 (on the far left). The slots are associated with Dual PCIe card carriers (DPCC), numbered 0 (on the right) to 7 (on the left). Dual PCIe card carriers (DPCC) contain one or two PCIe cards. The even numbered PCIe3 card slots are 8-lane and the odd numbered slots are 16-lane. SMOD0 System A uses DPCC 0 through 3, and SMOD1 System B uses DPCC 4 through 7. Each PCIe3 slot has the following LEDs: OK and Fault-Service Required. To the left of these LEDs is the recessed pinhole Attention (ATTN) button.

On the far right side of the server are four AC inputs with cable clips labeled AC 0 on the bottom through AC 3 on the top. The top two inputs are for System A and the bottom two are for System B. Each set to AC inputs has the information “2X ~200–240V, 50/60Hz 12A/cord max”. Each power inlet on the AC power block has a single green OK LED.
