Configuring eCoupons

Adding an eCoupon

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select eCoupons.

  2. Click New and complete the following fields:

    1. Property. Choose the property for the eCoupon. If logged in at the Property level, the default value is the logged in property. If logged in at the HUB level, this field defaults to an empty value and you must select the applicable property from the LOV. In this case, the LOV only lists those properties (under the logged in HUB) for which the eCoupons parameter is active in OPERA Controls.

    2. eCoupon Code. Enter a maximum of 8 alphanumeric characters.

    3. Description. Enter a description of the eCoupon. This field allows a maximum of 100 characters.

    4. Rate Code. Select one or more About Rate Codes applicable for the selected property.

    5. Posting Room. Select the PM rooms applicable for the selected property. The list of values shows all PM rooms regardless of whether they are checked in or not. This Pseudo room must be checked in for the eCoupons related charges to be successfully diverted to it.

    6. Default Quantity. Enter a value from 1 to 99. This field defaults to 1.

    7. Sequence. Enter a number that controls the position of this code in listings. Codes without a sequence number assigned are listed in alphabetical order following codes with a sequence assigned.

    8. Welcome Offer. (Available when the Welcome Offer function is active in OPERA Controls) Select to make this eCoupon part of a welcome offer to the guest.

  3. Click Save to save and exit or click Save and Continue to save and add additional eCoupons.

Editing an eCoupon

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select eCoupons.

  2. Select or confirm the Property, enter optional search criteria, and click Search.

  3. From search results, click the row level vertical ellipsis for the code and select Edit.

  4. Make the desired changes.

  5. Inactive. Select to make the eCoupon inactivate.

  6. Click Save.

Deleting an eCoupon

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select eCoupons.

  2. Select or confirm the Property, enter optional search criteria, and click Search.

  3. From search results, click the row level vertical ellipsis for the code and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
