Placing a Room on Hold

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Front Desk, and then select Arrivals.

  2. Search for and select a reservation and then click Check In.

  3. Select I Want To… and choose Hold Rooms.

  4. Search for rooms by entering search criteria and clicking Search.

  5. Select the rooms in the search result.

  6. Click Place on Hold.

  7. Complete the following:

    1. Hold Reason. Select a HOLD condition from the list. The number of minutes the hold restricts room assignment is shown to the right of the field. "Unlimited" appears if there is no time limit on the hold.

    2. Remarks. Enter any additional information, such as “<guest name> rooms are being held for…”

  8. Click Place on Hold to finish.
