Copying Configuration Codes to Multiple Properties

When the Multi-Property Cloud Service is active you can copy configuration from one property (or template) to other properties when working from a Hub location . This ability simplifies configuration and also ensures consistency of configuration throughout all properties. Provisioning of a new property can be easily achieved through the copy of the relevant configuration from a template or from other properties where applicable. OPERA Cloud provides two methods of copying configuration depending on the functionality:

Copy the configuration from one property to other properties

  1. From the Administration menu, select a Configuration menu and navigate to the desired configuration screen.

  2. Select the source Property in which the configuration codes reside and click Search.

  3. Click the vertical ellipse next to the New button, and click Copy.

  4. In the Configure Parameters panel complete the following:

    1. Source Property: Select the Source Property with the configuration you want to copy.

    2. Codes: Select the configuration codes to copy from the list.

    3. Target Properties: Select the properties to copy the configuration codes to (the properties listed are linked to your Hub location).

    4. Click Save.

    5. In the Review and Copy Codes panel,

      1. Verify the target property/properties and configuration code(s).

    6. Click Copy And Continue.

    7. In the Confirmation panel.

      1. Verify that no errors appear.

    8. Click Print.

Note:

Your browser opens a separate tab showing the details of your copy process. If errors appear in the Confirmation area, close the tab and select the application tab to make changes as necessary.

Copy the configuration from template to properties

Note:

Your assigned role(s) must be granted the Template Configuration tasks (New/Edit, Delete) to configure and copy codes in the template. For more information, seeOPERA Cloud Tasks — General.

  1. From the Administration menu, select a Configuration menu and navigate to the desired configuration screen.

  2. Select the Template tab.

  3. Click the vertical ellipse next to the New button, and click Copy.

  4. In the Configure Parameters panel complete the following:

    1. Codes: Select the configuration codes to copy from the list.

    2. Target Properties: Select the properties to copy the configuration codes to (the properties listed are linked to your Hub location).

    3. Click Save.

    4. In the Review and Copy Codes panel,

      1. Verify the target property/properties and configuration code(s).

    5. Click Copy And Continue.

    6. In the Confirmation panel.

      1. Verify that no errors appear.

    7. Click Print.
