Managing Blocks Traces

Traces are actionable instructions for a selected department for a specific date and time; once actioned, the trace is updated as resolved.

Adding a Trace

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Blocks, and then select Manage Block.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the block in the search result, click I Want To..., Traces or click the Traces link in Block Presentation.

  4. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Department. Select the department(s) for trace.

    2. From Date: Enter a From date.

    3. To Date: Enter a To date.

    4. Time: Enter time.

    5. Trace text: Enter the trace text.

    6. Quick Insert: Click to select from pre-configured trace text for the selected department. Configuring Trace Texts.

  5. Click Save.

Updating a Trace

Note:

Only open traces are displayed by default, to view completed traces click Vertical Ellipse, Show Completed.
  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Blocks, and then select Manage Block.

  2. Enter block criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the block in the search result, click I Want To..., Traces or click the Traces link in Block Presentation.

  4. Click + to expand the card and view trace details.

  5. Select vertical ellipse and click Edit.

  6. Update details.

  7. Click Save.

Resolving / Completing Trace

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Blocks, and then select Manage Block.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the block in the search result, click I Want To..., Traces or click the Traces link in Block Presentation.

  4. Select vertical ellipse, click Complete.

Deleting a Trace

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Blocks, and then select Manage Block.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the block in the search result, click I Want To..., Traces or click the Traces link in Block Presentation.

  4. Select vertical ellipse, click Delete.

  5. Click Delete to confirm.
